Two years ago during Lenten season, my former college classmate (again) invited me to attend a recollection, together with some of our fellow former college classmates (including that “chubby” lady), which, during that time, I had no idea what was it. And I started to discover the Feast.

Months later, I attended one time at Central Mall Biñan (because I felt bored at home after being unemployed for months) to have worship with God and to hear the spiritual talk with Bro. Andreus Cosio. I met my new friends from Feast who had already introduced to me during Lenten recollection, and the rest was history.

In few months later, I tried to join one of the ministries in Feast Biñan. Because I have a background in computers and being graduated as Information Technology (I.T.) course in PUP – Santa Rosa, I penetrated my service in Media Ministry, and by the guidance of my friend, Ralph Deniega, I started to learn to become LCD operator, and the rest was history again. Hehehe! And because I was still searching for my new job during that time, I presumed my “career” in serving at the Feast as a member of Media Ministry.

It’s fun to be nice to serve with God at the Feast because it gives me positivity to listen, to learn, and to accept God’s words from the talks throughout the series to sing a nice worship song with raising the hands. And it also helps to solve the problems from situations that I encountered and especially in my family at home (although, because my parents and my siblings are too older than me, I can’t share this to them clearly due of misunderstandings that’s why our home is full of “toxics” and “negativity”). I said during my first days attending at the Feast, “Before, I had never attended church even it is just very near from my house. But because of the Feast, I really enjoyed worshiping with God and I’m now attending Feast during my free time to learn and to hear the message of God.” Although I have never attended Sunday church, located just near my house in Golden City, because of security reasons (and I don’t want to have crowded attendees especially during Sundays), I just enter the said church only on weeknights (after my work in San Pedro) where only few people are attending. I also go to St. Clare Monastery in Cabuyao during my rest day on Saturdays (or even holidays mostly on Friday) using my biking from my house going there via “shortcut key”.

Missing Wednesday Feast Alabang

Beside of Feast Biñan and Feast Santa Rosa (both led by Bro. Jon Escoto), I had also attended Feast Alabang in Festival Mall, Muntinlupa. In December 2013, I was invited by some HOT Team members to attend Wednesday Feast Alabang (WFA), and it was my first time to attend there with a lot of excitement and fun. I heard a talk led by Bro. J Yogawin, and it was Talk 2 of Power Up series. And after the talk and singing some worship songs, he announced that those who were the first timers in WFA should stand and were given blessings and special gift. I was the one to stand (my friend, Ralph Deniega, let me to walk with him) and went towards the stage where Bro. J would bless one together with other first time attendees. It was nice to receive more blessings from WFA.

Even before I discovered the Feast in 2013, I had noticed that place every time when I went to the entrance of Festival Mall (from South Station) taking escalator to second floor, and I noticed that place before walking going to my work in Filinvest (my first job in Alabang was just near the Festival Mall, and I was always going to the mall mostly before and after my work). But I had no idea, during that time, what was that place just similar to Victory Christian Fellowship or other religion gathering or whatever.

Since then, I frequently attended WFA, especially from my work in San Pedro, to receive more blessings and more abundance from God. Most of my friends who also attended there were from Feast Biñan where I served in Media Ministry, and I also met some new friends there (every time during the introduction of every talk, the attendees must meet and greet their seatmates and other attendees). And, of course, there was a food section where we could eat anything before and during WFA (that’s why it was called “the Feast”).

However, my attendance in WFA would be declined because of some complicated and security reasons. My temporary departure from a financial group, just called “IMAGE”, was the factor why I’ve never attended WFA again. Most of my friends from that said group are, but not always, present in WFA, and some of them are also serving in their ministries, just like one of my “IMAGE” friends (just called her “My”) insisted me to apply in Media Ministry of WFA as a graphic designer of the bulletin published before the WFA. Obviously, I’m a graphic designer working for a gaming (I mean, casino) magazine, and I just accepted to become a member of Media Ministry in WFA (even Earl Pascua encouraged me to join); however, I declined it for some reason (maybe I wanted to stay serving at Saturday Feast Biñan rather than WFA). Eventually, I supposed to ask my former college classmate (just called him, “royalprince”) who also worked for “IMAGE” to pay his debts from our Hong Kong trip few weeks earlier, but he obviously got mad after I summarized the total amount that he must pay for me (see Episode 3 for my reasons). Because of that, it was the last time that we talked while we’re together at “IMAGE”. And this led my final attendance in WFA (unexpectedly just few days before I got hospitalized) because I don’t want to see them present at WFA anymore especially that “royalprince”.

Even though I haven’t attended since October 2014, I really miss WFA especially after my work. But because of some security reasons, I just step aside for a while from attending WFA, and I need to go home early from work (I must arrive home before 10 o’clock in the evening to avoid inconvenience and from my mother’s worrying to me arriving home very late). Last June 17th (the same day of 3rd anniversary of my then-long distance girlfriend), the 4th anniversary of WFA was held, and some of my friends from the Feast (and HOT Team, as well, including one of them who is so mayabang) were present and taking selfies during and after the celebration. Now, I haven’t decided when I shall be back at WFA to receive more blessings from God.

  1. I think you’re an introvert person thats why you are always feeling sad and not grateful even on small things. Repent now on all your sins so that God will bless you more.

    1. Uh I’m so sorry for not reading your comments for a long time. I just discover these right now, and I have no idea that someone read one of my episodes (stories) on my blog. But anyway, thanks for your reading and comment. Actually this month, September, I’m starting to attend Sunday Feast in Santa Rosa, Laguna. But wait, have you attended Feast and do you know Bro. Bo Sanchez? Please reply. Thanks

  2. It’s appropriate time to make a few plans for the future and it is time to be happy.
